MA's is both a cut off AND it is a powder magazine DRAIN.

So.. you can stop the flow of powder and then if desired you can DRAIN the
powder magazine of all powder as well.

I have 4 of MA's cut off and drains on my 4 Stars....  once you have this
you do not want to operate a Star without one.

Nice piece of craftsmanship.

It also comes in a hand made shipping box...  too cool.

Yes.

Not only is it a neat product, he is a neat guy.  When we speak voice, I am glad that I have unlimited mnts on my 'phone plan.

I'm not exactly falling apart, but ,with rotator, carpal, and arthritic problems, I can get kinda clumsy.

The fewer times that I field strip the Star, the less likely I am apt to drop/break something that isn't easily replaced.

MA's product helps to reduce that possiblity, makes life a bit smoother, and irons out a couple of potential wrinkles.

Thanks MA.

Maybe he does have his own speed. I don't think its Over-Drive.

What, with splitting wood and heckling his neighbor, salvaging cardboard, and, did I mention heckling his neighbor(?), he has a full day.

MA builds them in very small batches.
So you have to contact him via this forum.
Like most stuff STAR... things are normally not off the shelf but crafted one at a time
by great craftsmen.

Doe anyone else really treasure the tiny hand made shipping boxes that MA (or his wife) makes to ship the drain?
I have a collection of them.  They are REALLY well done.  Precise as all heck.

So I'm guessing MA is Maurice Lewis right?

I don't think I have ever seen a picture of his Powder Shut Off/Drain

Thanks Alan,

I'm sure I must have seen that when it was posted, but had long since forgotten it.

Same here.

But with revisits, I often notice details I overlooked before. One of the reasons I reread long stagnant threads.

If only I could remember everything!

It would be nice to have a Wiki search on the board.
There are alot of tidbits that are hidden in threads where the thread name is not
really that descriptive of the eventual subject matter.
