Anybody have a spare or can tell me where to get a new one; or the specs to order one?

The wire diameter of my spring is .019" and the size is 3/16 x 2 1/2.  I don't know if this is a common off the shelf size or not (although .020" is common, as is 3/16 diameter). The problem may be finding that size compression spring long enough.  It may take a web search engine for the .020 diameter to come up with the correct length.

You might try McMaster-Carr on line, they show a 3/16 x. 02 x 1 3/4".  That was the only
one I looked at so there might be others with a longer length. $6.29 per 12. Try part #

When reconditionng an old machine I needed sprgs & just took the tired
ones to the local hdw where I found replacements for the one you mention + a couple of others which escape me at the moment.
