Can .45 ACP Dies Be Used To Load .45 Long Colt On A Star Press??

Is it possible to use .45 ACP Dies to load .45 Long Colt Caliber on a Star Press if I am unable to locate a set of Star .45 Long Colt Dies? If so, what would be appropriate shell plate be?

You "could" but would be much better off with caliber specific dies, especially for seating and crimp issues.

Suggest you contact Bruce Williams  (RBWillNJ) on this site for dies and plate.
You also have Rich Daniels (BarrelTester) on this site that can fabricate both for a star.

That is if no one answers your WTB post!

Thanks for the info. I think I have located a set of dies. When I posted this I didn't know how difficult it would be to locate them.
