Freeloader case feeder
« on: February 09, 2015, 10:13:03 am »
Does anyone know who offers a clone (original works for me too) of the Freeloader case feeder; feed tube is no problem, make that on a lathe but the funnel seems to be scarcer then hen's teeth.

Lee makes one that works about as well as the freeloader. It is red and has 4 holes to 4 tubes. Another piece is a turret that indexes the 4 tubes to the one on the Hulme. There should be several threads on this modification. I shorten the Lee tubes to make it lower and easier to load with more room between the funnel and the ceiling. Who ever I bought the funnel from had made an adapter washer to adapt to 9mm that was held in place with an empty .22 shell. I mounted my attachment to the hooked spring holder on the top of the Star. I took the spring off, unscrewed the hook, put the holder on the screw and reinstalled. I mounted the indexer to this strap.

I make the adapter to mount the Lee Case Feeder Tubes and Collator on a Star.    You have my email address if you are interested.

Thanks one and all! I retired not quite six months ago, built a new house and (finally) a dedicated reloading room. Still bolting presses down but I'm thinking the Lee case feed to Hulme unit is the way to go. Use the adapter that rbwillnj so conveniently makes and I should be good as I happen to have a Lee case feeder and a pile of tubes for it lying around
