.38 Special Taper Crimp Die
« on: April 06, 2010, 07:48:18 pm »
I've had my Star reloader since about 1977.
I have been in and out of competitive bullseye shooting over the years so
I have a .45 ACP and .38 Special tool head.
Somehow, over the years I missed getting a taper crimp die for the .38.
I found Dave Wilson on this forum and ordered one.
Got it today.
I couldn't be happier!
It's beautifully done and looks great.
Thanks Dave!

Greetings,

The taper crimp die provides a gentle reduction of the case mouth as opposed to the roll crimp. This is good as it helps the brass to last longer, (avoids mouth cracks)

Contact me off line as I make short runs of dies in my spare time.

Cheers,

Dave Wilson
