Interesting.  Did you fabricate the part?  Looks like it is case hardened.

What do you find most 'helpful' about it?

I did not fab the part in the picture but home made something very similar.  It allows removing a case for reasons such as dents, splits or for other things that require their removal and allows for replacing the removed case if needed.

Greetings,
I have three Progressives and have modified two of them to mimic the Universal. The picture that Lindy posted of the first Progressive, I just copied the tabs on a Dillon 1000 that I have. On the second Progressive they were made like this and function much easier.
