I have been looking into pistol ammo reloading for a short while and as you might guess have been given lots of advise on the brand of loader to consider. The local gunsmith I deal with has a star loader and is very pleased with it and recommends it highly even though it is no longer in production.

I did not see a FAQ section on the forum, so I am asking for some help in getting a general overview of the Star loader and its features and benefits as well as fair market value for a good machine and accessories.

I would like to load 38 special/357, 9 mm, and 45 ACP. If possible also 223 rifle ammo.

Thanks for your help.

I sent you a PM.  I will have several Universals ready to go in the near future.

Im new to reloading and purchased a couple of boxes from a gentleman her in Missouri who was moving to Florida.. He has Lyman press and other goodies including a Star Press set up for 45 Cal ACP along with other various items. I mostly shoot 9 MM and 38 special and asked about 9 mm heads and they are 400 dollars to have machined? I noticed Bruce posted that you have several Universals that will be ready to go in the near future. Any set up for 9mm?
Thank you very much,
Jon

I don't have 9MM dies at this time, but I can put together a 9MM Universal for you using dies from Dave Wilson.

I do have Dies and Shell plates for 38 Special as well as several 38 Special "Progressives".   One that's ready to go now.

Thank you Bruce for your reply. I also thank BucKhunter who PM
me several times today and he also recommended I check
with you a out the 9mm set up . I would be interested in exploring
the possibility of a 9mm set up if I can afford it at present?
