Greetings,

Hopefully someone out there will have such a manual and be willing to scan a copy for me.

Cheers,

Dave

I don't know if I would call it a manual, but I have a couple sheets of instructions from Phelps as well as some other literature.  The PDF is too big to post, so I'll email it to you.

Bruce,

If you would can you send me a copy of the Phelps stuff?
They say the Moon indexer won't work on a Phelps, will the Moon case kicker work?
Did Phelps make any upgrades or was it just a cheap knockoff?
Thanks,

Bryan

Bryan,

I sent you a PDF of the Phelps Literature that I have.  Let me know if it doesn't come through.

Phelps is an almost exact copy of the Star.  I wouldn't say it's a cheap copy of a Star. the quality of many of the Phelps I have encountered is pretty much equivalent to Star's quality.  However, I have run across other Phelps which were not nearly as good as Stars.  In other words, there are some very good Phelps machines out there, but you can't depend consistent quality like you can with a Star.

I don't use an indexer, so I'm not sure if there would be a problem mounting a Moon indexer to a Phelps.  I do know that the mounting hole pattern in a Phelps base is different than that of a Star base.

Guys,
I believe that my 'Moon Unit Indexer' directions stated for 'Star' only.  The center to center mounting holes on my ' Star'
is 5" and the Phelps are 5 1/8".  Not much but it does make a difference.  If I can find the 'Moon Unit' information I will
post it.

Dave, I e-mailed you a gentleman's name and phone number who has a world of information on Phelps reloaders. If you didn't get the e-mail contact me and we'll try again.   DDStraitwell

Gents,

My first post here so please forgive me, my knowledge is next to nil on the Star and Phelps reloaders.

Dave, I have instruction sheets for a Phelps case feeder made for the Dillon 550B, is that what you are looking for? I can scan them and make a PDF file if that would help.

Greetings All,

A member scanned and sent me PDF images of the Phelps tool.

I always enjoy reading the original documents as they sometimes reveal things I did not know.

Phelps also made other items such as barrel testers. From these old pamphlets a machinist could reverse engineer a similar tool.

Cheers,

Dave

Bruce,

No I didn't receive the mailing. Can you resend it?
Thanks.
I was try to generate some posts on the Phelps reloader. I understand that this is a Star forum but I think the Phelps is a close copy.
The center distance should not be a problem to move over I just don't want to buy one only to find out there are other problems.
Anybody else with info feel free to forward it on to me.
Thanks,

Bryan

Bryan

I sent the PDF's again to the email address in your profile.   Let me know if you get it.

No problem posting about Phelps here, lots of Phelps owners on the forum.
