Part #35?
« on: February 13, 2011, 08:35:48 pm »
Tguntrader,

On part # 35 Primer follower rod, can any one tell me where to get a replacement part for the rod that goes on the end, also what it is made of.

                   Thanks in advance

Greetings Willie,

I have some 1/8" delrin that will fit the end of the rod. I can send you a piece with your 38 Super Dies, unless you need it straightaway.

Cheers,

Dave Wilson

The part on the end can be nylon or delron(1/8" dia.) held on with heat shrink tubing.  Try
the hobby store for the rod and a electronics store for the heat shrink or McMaster-Carr for
all of it.
Hope this helps.

Greetings,

The 1/8" plastic piece is press fit into the ferrule on the end of the metal follower rod. Usually, you can push it into the part with little effort.

I will cut you a piece and mail it to you.

I trust you have the standard issue Star Primer Tube and not the extended 100 primer version?

When the plastic piece is inserted, it just falls into the primer slide with little excess to remind the operator to recharge with primers.

Cheers,

Dave
