Different Decal Color On Star Toolheads
« on: February 04, 2008, 11:38:13 am »
I recently purchased a Star toolhead with a silver colored decal instead of a gold one. I'm assuming it's a newer head. Does anyone know when they made the change & were there any changes to the toolheads?

Took a look at mine. One has/had what looks like a silver decal. Unless it was a very faded gold that looked silver as it aged. but do not think so.
I do not know the year but I think 1960s vintage. There is no difference between that head and my others that I can see or find. I would speculate, they used what the printer provided?

Thanks for the info. I can't detect any difference in the heads I have with the silver decals. To my information they are a little later model heads but I've never seen any reference to those decals.
