I just bought a very nice progressive in .38 Special.
I want a .45 ACP and was wondering if it is possible to either convert it to .45 ACP or turn it into a Universal machine.
I am not new to reloading, just new to the beautiful STAR
Thanks for any guidance you can give me...

All,
Here is a modification I made to my .38spl Progressive. I made the slots wide enough to R & R the .45acp case.
It's so much easier to fix a problem and not have to rotate the cases out!!!
Basically copied Dillon's RL-1000.

That's a very nice job. Do I understand that this unit is a Progressive that you modified to Universal-like performance?

Yes, it is a progressive press. The shellplate must be the progressive outside diameter to work.
