Star Machine Works
« on: March 19, 2011, 09:09:31 pm »
I have the late Phil Sharp's book on Handloading and his book "The Rifle in America" which are both now out of print. I was born in a town in northern Pennsylvania called Brookville which is the county seat of Jefferson county Pa. According to Sharp, in his handloading book, he mentions that the original Star Machine Works were located in Brookville Pa. I personally know exactly where the building was located. However the plant has been gone for many decades. I was also under the impression that my uncle, who was a machinist and gunsmith, was involved in the design of the original Star loading machines. Just a note for your information.
