Star Reloaders / Re: Need Help Identifying Star Parts
« Last post by NYKenn on November 02, 2024, 07:54:27 pm »
Fairly confident in saying they are not press parts. I do not recognize at all.  Lubrisizer: maybe, do not know.
Bruce Williams (RBWillNJ) on this site, is able to tell you conclusively.
good luck!

Star Reloaders / Need Help Identifying Star Parts
« Last post by 30calfun on November 02, 2024, 09:36:08 am »
I have 3 parts that I think go with either my Star press of my Star resizer/lubricator. The AA battery in the pics is for scale. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Who did you receive this text from? A member here?

When I asked for their identity on the forum it was not given.

1- 4-2-3 -6-2-1- 3-1-4-1 was the number the text originally was sent from.

I called and it had a Google assistant.

Just stay vigilant

Buyer be very very very aware.

I received a text about my search for a 9mm shell plate.

I asked for pictures and they send the first Google image on the picture list.

This was a basic/weak victim scam and I am certain there exist scams I cannot detect involving star equipment.

Please be aware and be vigilant

Loading Data & Reloading Procedures / Re: Glass powder measure
« Last post by fc60 on October 13, 2024, 08:03:06 pm »
Greetings,

I bought one of the eBay specials.

Very nice machining.

However, when you close the slide to stop the powder and then unscrew the hopper the slide bumps against the tool head and opens. Thus, dumping powder all over.

Now my glass hopper sits on the bench until I get bored enough to machine a fix for it.

Also, the threads were incorrect. The Star hopper is a 9/16-27 TAPERED thread. The eBay vendor chose to use a 9/16-27 STRAIGHT thread.

Yes, it sort of screws on; but, over time it will damage the thread on the powder housing cover.

Cheers,

Dave
