I have indexer and kicker on both my Stars. Great accessories for the Star Press.  They probably make them in batches and depleted their current run?   Have you called them to confirm?  Iíll see them pop up on eBay from time to time.

Thank you FC60 and For Star on your responses.  I will check the expander and clean.  Will also try the Turtle Wax. Will re tumble 50 cases and see how it goes.

Yes, I am using Lemishine.

Reminded me when I was reloading brand new Starline Brass on my SDB many years ago. The brass would stick to the expander. I guess same issue even with brand new brass.

When reloading 45acp today on my SU. I felt like my press was sticking sometimes on the up/down stroke.  Iím using 230gr Rainer FMJ.  Not sure if I had enough belling on the case. I did have 2 bullets peel over the case. Tamper crimp is good. Loaded up 500rds.

I did wet tumble the cases.

Case guage check all rounds, found 3x no go.

Star Reloaders / Mounting Star Universal 45 ACP

This is what I've completed so far.  Birch wood, 3 bottom compartments.  Middle for old primers, left side for casings.

Still confirguring a ramp device.  Not done yet.  Thought of a funnel. It's working, just have to secure it.  Using 2x hooks and a bungee cord.  lol

Moon unit and ejector from opperatoring 100% high quality. Refurb Star Press from Bruce. Awesome. The Lee collator feeder device is a must have.

Sizing/decaping  first.  Going to wet tumble, load primers by hand and then check a few OAL with bullet seated/crimped before power.

My Star Universal in .45 ACP arrived today.   I'm still setting up the press.  Next project is to built a custom mount for the Star. I do have a couple of ideas.  Wish B&G were still making their mounts.  I am one happy camper and cannot wait to start reloading.

I would like to thank Star Machine Works/R. Bruce Williams. I am so amazed at all the literature that came with it.
