Star Reloaders / Re: Chevron case feeder??
« on: March 20, 2009, 09:51:13 am »
Hi Bill...I have one and it works okay. Rich Daniels in CT , the fellow doing machine work for Star spare parts, will also rebuild these units. I haven't had a need yet but I did contact him pertaining to any help I would need regarding these feeders. I made contact through an old tel# for the company a while back and it directed me to some shooting range out here. That's as far as I got...Pete

Ps: I would think one of those Dillon case feeders could be adapted...they look similar!

Pss: Anybody else got an more info? Bruce, whatta ya know?

Kenn...what you're doing is great! TY...it works...to bad more buying and selling couldn't just take place on this site instead of going for auction on the other sites. I watch the places you've mentioned regularly too and on occasion buy but to tell the truth, I've gotten the best and most honest deals right here from other members. If any of us want or need to dispose of any of the equipment we have wouldn't it be best to let the members here know first?  Just my thoughts...

Please continue to keep all of us informed...makes for a tighter community.

Thanks, Pete

Yes, I did get an order for 10k of these primers from Powder Valley. I ordered large pistol. I didn't have any issues, no fails and I shoot full auto with them. But to date I still have about 4k left. I'm using Winchesters now. I'd use the the Wolfs again...I'm sure to use them up over the winter!
Order a sleeve, try them out for yourself! Pete

Star Reloaders / Re: Price for Star machines?

Ebays policies and pricing are getting out of hand these days. I'm feeling it's got a little something to do with greed but then that's just my opinion. In reality a lot of folks are feeling the crunch with the economy and good deals are getting harder and harder to find on ebay. Auction Arms and Gunbrokers.com are another good source...you just have to keep looking! They're a whole lot easier to deal with, that's for sure! Good luck...let us know what happens.

I saw one of these for sale a while back on ebay from Paul (starmentors)...I thought about it but came up with the same idea as you. For what? If I remember right it went for over 100.00 bucks...not worth it! Pete

Ron...After going to that Powder Valley site, I decided to go ahead and make an order for 10k of the Wolf primers! I was reading the reviews of them in Google and everything looks positive enough for me.  I go through 45s like 22s and this just helps cut the cost for me a little bit anyway. It's worth a shot. I'll keep you posted...Pete

Ron...Cost? You aren't kidding. I just bought 2K Winchester LP primers and 4lb keg of 231. The guy says to me " That'll be $133.53" I called him a liar and asked to him to recheck his calculations. He was right! I apologized and went and bought a newspaper and cup of DD coffee ($3.95) to check out the want adds. Looks like I'm going to have to go back to work, LOL...It's not going to get any better. What's the price on those Wolf primers and where did you see them? Thanks, Pete
