Title: taper crimp die

would some one tell me on the star press taper crimp die why did they make a post type and a screw in? it has been bugging me for a lone time  thankyou for the help    Pat     from  KALIFORNIA

I don't think there was a standard for dies at the time the Star was developed which may have been a factor.
