Does anyone know who made these post end taper crimp dies?
The one I have has a stamp marking "patent pending".

According to the attached letter from the American Rifleman, John Giles invented it, and it was manufactured by Heatbath Corp. Star made their own version.

Wealth of information on this site !
Yes, my taper crimp post end die in the photo is for 45 cal. I'm using SWC lead bullets for target loads, and they are accurate.

Where does this die fit in the die head. I know it has to be beyond the bullet seating die, but where?

In older tool heads, there is a 3/8" hole in the tool head at the taper crimp station.....which is the station where you remove the finished round. On newer tool heads, the 3/8" hole is replaced with an 11/16"-24 threaded hole for a threaded taper crimp die.
