I see those on Ebay and they look nice.

Can you interpret the sizing for me? I don't understand what "0" and "00" etc stand for in regards volume

Thanks
John

John, The 00 and 0 refer to the original thickness of the bronze powder slide.  The 0 size was the thinnest (dont have that number handy), and the 00 size was thicker.  Other spacer kits and slides were made up to 5/8".  These helped to accomadate the larger charges of powder needed for larger cartridges.  The 0 and the 00 were the earliest and the most common, these handle the small charges of bullseye powder that were common for Bullseye target shooting.  I will check the thickness of those bars later unless someone can chime in here.

The "0" ( 1/4" )was the origional in the Progressive. The "00" ( 5/16" )came along with the Universal to allow for larger charges for larger cases. You can use a 1/2" in an Universal if you have a set of shims or a 1/2" lower for your powder charger. Also Star made a 5/8" charger base that will throw even larger charges ( 20+ grains of 2400 and others.
