I had an M2 once upon a time, I thought it was the same as an M3.   I don't have one any more to compare.

Does the M2 have the recess for 38 special?

I found an M2 on one of my Stars set up for 45ACP.  I compared it to an M3 and they
are Identical.

Finally found  where I set my calipers :o hole dia. was the only thing different on the feed end of things, M2 has a 20 thousand smaller hole. Top of the body is stepped down on both ends of the hole. This makes 3 different shaped tops so far

I'm thinking the M2 is just an earlier version of the M3, not a different type.

Greetings,

Any possibility that one top plate has clearance for the 45 Auto Rim and/or the 45 Colt?

Cheers,

Dave

Hello to Dave,
The Marshall Enterprises info sheet, maker of the HULME automatic case feeder shows the following:
"The Mark III is equipped to handle five (5) calibers, .38 ACP, .45 ACP, .45 Auto Rim, .38 Special and .44
Special."
" The Mark IIIA is equipped to handle eight (8) calibers.  .38 ACP, .45 ACP, .45 Auto Rim, .357 Mag., .41 Mag., .44 Mag., .45 Colt Long, and .30 Cal. M1 Carbine."
I hope this helps.

OK, but that's not a magnum top plate unless it's been modified.   I have had a number of M3 top plates that have been milled out to accept magnum cases.
