				Greetings,

Just did an unsuccessful "Google" search for Lifetyme dies.

Does anyone know the history of them?

Such as, was the company named Lifetyme; or, was it a brand?

Perhaps someone has an original brochure or price sheet they could scan and post?

 Cheers,

 Dave

				Hi Dave
I looked very closely at one of my Lifetyme dies and it was stamped "Pat Pend" so someone has applied for a Patent. Perhaps You could find info on the Die from that
source. It also had a "Oval with capital P followed by Capital K" enclosed within the Oval which could be a Trade Mark, again this could be a clue as to who made them.
 Good luck in Your search.

 Good Shooting

My 1979 receipts for Lifetyme dies are from
Carbide Die & Mfg. Co., Inc.
 15615 E. Arrow Highway
 Irwindale, California 91706
Phone: (213) 337-2518 (changed to area code 818)

 Mailing Address:

They were signed by Paul C. Knepp

Most dies were purchased from Star Machine Works but in several instances I returned them to Carbide Die for changes and or replacements (such as special sizing, 2 stage or special calibers).

I am not aware of any catalog they may have produced.

Looks like Carbide Die and Manufacturing exists in Baldwin Park , CA still...

The 2-stage .45 dies were particularly useful when loading the very thin Remington nickel plated commercial cases.

I gave my die to Scott Lorentz who had helped me a lot.

				Greetings,

I have one each of the 38 SPL 2S and 45 ACP 2S original Lifetyme dies. They are indeed quite useful.

In fact, I machined a clone 2S die for my 45 Colt setup.

Too bad Lifetyme is gone, they made nice tools. I especially liked the flash Chrome plating on the die bodies.

 Cheers,

 Dave
