Title: primer punch rocker arm guide screw?
Post by: Kirk A on May 26, 2011, 08:38:07 am
During the course of cleaning my latest Universal, I encountered a fastener whose function eluded me. On the bottom of the base, adjacent to one end of the primer punch rocker arm (45) is a very small machine screw with an oversize washer.  This edge of this washer is in close proximity of the rocker arm, but the screw/washer appears to serve no purpose. And despite my subject, no, I don't really think this is a "guide" of any kind, nor is there any wear to indicate so.

Would anyone care to enlighten me regarding what purpose this serves?

Thanks,
-Kirk

It restricts the Primer Punch Rocker Arm from Falling below the bottom of the base..... ::)

I'm going to update what I stated about that Screw & Washer,,,After deep thought I concluded that it keeps the
PRIMER PUNCH from dropping down below the bottom of the Steel Floor Base..??? :o :-[

If Interested, the Data on the 2 parts.. :o
