Greetings,
Does anyone have one of these tools laying about in their parts kit?
I have a friend that needs a hole drilled and tapped in his older machine.
Cheers,

Hello Dave,
Attached is the Hulme installation sheet. I think the jig could be made by someone
with your expertise. If a 5/16-24 bolt had a point ground on it, the placement of the guide hole
on the jig could be found using a newer machine as a guide. I have one older Star without
the hole drilled/taped and someday I was planing on making the jig.
Just a thought. Keep up the great work.

I borrowed one a while back and made a number of copies. I have used the original (which I returned) to do a couple of machines, but I have never had the occaison to use one of my copies.

Hey
I have a problem with the Install Instructions:: :-\ :-\
It states drill a #28 pilot hole (no problem) :D
Next it states to drill a 17/64" hole ---- For the 5/16"-24 Tap.. :o :o
What, the drill size for a 5/16"-24 is I , not 17/64... ??? ??? ???
What say you guys ???

17/64 is .2656 -
"I" is .2720 In my book that looks like .006 difference. .003 to a side you will never see in a tapped hole. It will probably make the thread a little looser using the bigger drill. I don't think the strength will be compromised at all which ever you wish to use. 5/16 bolt is a tad less than .312. JMHO

I believe I'll go with the 17/64" drill...........
