What other source besides McMaster-Carr & Star Machine Works for plastic powder tubes.. ???

I know of no other source.

The tube material needs to be machined, (enlarged at both ends by the use of some sort of reamer tool in a drill press or lathe).

I just sent 4 sets of bases, baffles and tops over to RBWILLNH (R.Bruce) so that he can do the deed.

BTW, the material is hard.  The polycarbonate is hard and brittle so attempts to scrape it out by hand are VERY time consuming and
nearly futile.  Also shipping on one small length of Polycarbonate from McMaster Carr is prohibitive to make it worth while.

Just my 2 centavos....

What do you charge + shipping for a set of base, baffle & top.... ??? ::)

That is a good question to ask RBwillNJ (R. Bruce Williams).
He is the guy who has been crafting these replacement powder magazine tubes up.
He does a really nice job on them.  I have some new ones, from him, for about
2 years and they are not discoloring or reacting with the propellant (Bullseye, Clays, etc).

The origional plastic powder reservoirs as delivered by Star were clear PVC tubing. When Star started with these  it may have been the only thing available.

Doc,   I'll send you a PM with the information you requested.

Any Plastic will eventually darken if exposed to powder for too long of a period, but I have been pleased with how well the polycarbonate holds up.

I was able to install tubing purchased from Mc.S.by carefully heating it with a heat gun.Worked perfectly ,fit is absolutely snug and without any distorsion.

I am having a hard time getting my old powder measure tube to screw back into place the threads seem to have been damaged somehow anyone have this problem?
