Anybody have a good method attaching a plastic tube on a Powder Measure base.. ??? :P ::)
I got the tube McMASTER-CARR.. :D ;D

Greetings,
I believe the tube needs to be machined to fit the brass funnel. To much press and you will crack the plastic tube.
Also, the tube should be made of Polycarbonate to prevent the powder from chemically reacting with it.
Cheers,
Dave

I got the plastic tube from McMaster, 1-1/2 OD & 1-3/8 ID clear Polycarbonate.....
Do I take off the black plastic like sleeve that covers the base & black powder resviour before I fit the plastic tube........ ??? ::)

ID of 1-3/8 is too loss on the powder measure base adapter.. :'(

Alan,
When I install new tubes, I use polycarbonate tube from McMaster Carr, but I use the 1-1/2 OD : 1-1/4 ID tube. I have to machine the ID of both ends of the tube fit the hardware. Also, I find the thicker tube holds up better over time. I can do the work for you if you don't have the equipment to do the work.

Apparntly these parts I have AREN'T Star.......They were in the box in the can they gave me at the Academy... :o 8)
I'm going to get a brass rod from McMaster-Carr and get my friend that makes 40S&W / 10mm AR barrels for me ::)

Do they have the proper thread to screw into the powder slide housing. If they do, they might be Phelps parts. The Phelps powder magazine hardware has a smaller OD than the Star hardware. It was designed to be fitted into a glass tube with a piece of bicycle innertube acting as a gasket between the hardware in the glass. I think that the polycarbonate tube that I use can be machined to fit the Phelps hardware.
Does your hardware look like that in the picture below.

That look like it, black & gray w/a black rubber sleeve around the parts.. ??? ::)
