Star Reloaders / Re: Powder Drain

Ken if you click on Ma's name in his post, it'll take you to his profile page. There will be an envelope image to click on to open an email message to be sent to him. That should do it!

Star Reloaders / Re: Ray-Vin/SB sales case kicker on 9mm?
« on: May 04, 2015, 07:30:13 pm »
Tried it on my Uni that's set up for 9mm and it works like a champ.

Here's a poor pic of it and the small chute I made for it.

Loading Data & Reloading Procedures / Volume measure density
« on: April 26, 2015, 05:45:06 pm »
Is Lee's data on VMD the "reference" for calculations of Volume measure density?

I have a number of powder bushings and would like to create a spreadsheet to calculate powder drop weight for the bushings I have. The calculation seems straightforward, but is the Lee data a good reference?

Thanks
John

Star Reloaders / Ray-Vin/SB sales case kicker on 9mm?
« on: April 13, 2015, 09:02:52 pm »
I have the SB Sales case kicker on my 45 press and it works flawlessly. While the page says "we have reports that it works on 9mm) or some such, has someone actually tried it?

I could take mine off and move it, but thought I'd avoid reinventing the wheel.... ;)

I would like to find an angle lever screw, and an extra large, and small primer slide, new or used for a Universal.

Please PM me here and I'll PM back.

Thanks!

Bruce will machine you a wonderful powder slide and bushing that fits tight and works well! Two thumbs up!

That's a very nice job. Do I understand that this unit is a Progressive that you modified to Universal-like performance?

Those look nice. If I didn't have one on my Stars already, I'd be tempted!

Good luck with them.... the case feeders are great

Hello,
New member here from Canada.
I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful website and a big thank you for keeping the Star Machine legacy going. I got into the reloading hobby late in life, but i'm quite fascinated by the Star Machines and with any luck I'll be able to acquire one so I can experience the ownership aspect instead of looking in from the outside. :)

Welcome to the forum .... and I'm and old guy who's new to Stars as well. I'm enjoying the ones I have now, and use them often.

I'm not sure what Star shipped in this small fabric bag, but it was fun to find it with a recent Star acquisition .

Thanks. I lived in Albuquerque and recall it just east of Carlisle Blvd on Central Ave (old Rt 66) on the south side of the street . I bought several guns there, and remembered it even at the time (30 yrs ago) as an "old school" gun store.

Sorry to hijack the thread, it's just that the world is a small place these days.
