Star Reloaders / Re: What are the down sides

Although this machine has a lot of additional parts,I would never alter it's factory originality. I'm also a purist when it comes to Stars.

Since Star Machines are no longer being made I try to keep this one as pristine as possible even though I have loaded more than 200,000 rounds on it.

I size and deprime on a dillon 550 with a case feeder and a u-die. It keeps the Star clean of any abrasive burnt powder residue.

When you reassembled your Star loader how did you manage to realign the steel floor base to the aluminum base as Star had a jig for that.

Hi Art, that is a Kiss Bullet Collator support that he supplies with his collator. It feeds the MA System Easy Loader. Just pull the handle and you get a loaded round. His collator is the best.

I elevated my Star on a 3/8" steel plate and pieces of 3/4"conduit to be able to collect rounds in an Akro Bin.

Why not give Bill Cunningham from Star Machine Works at 209-295-5000 he might be able to fill your needs.

The belling station for the Star has a shell expander that was designed to hold the shell
down, bell it and seat the primer without stressing the shell plate. Another manufacturer's die won't do that.

Hi Wayne, MA Systems is located in Pryor OK at 918-824-3705. They no longer make their attachments for the Star but have spare parts for the assemblies. I recently purchased a lot of spare parts just to have in case of  any failures but since 1986 I have not needed any and I doubt if I ever will they are that good. Give them a call, they are very nice to deal with and will help you with drawings and parts. Good luck.

Star Reloaders / Re: CHANCE TO BUY A 9MM TOOL HEAD

You don't always get a chance to buy a new Star tool head with 9mm dies. Shell plates are somtimes available on e-bay for 9mm. I'd grab it.
