Bruce, you said you had some wire cable indexers, that were used on Phelps, would it work on one of my universal machines, George.

George, I have an M-A Indexer with instructions and pictures
of it set up. It uses the Universal Angle lever Cam's screw to attach
it to the Star Universal. Then about four inches away from the base
you have a small post that is secured by two screws, When the toolhead
goes back to the top a hook pulls the case to the next position to wait
for the next operation. See the operation at: http://www.sbsdistributing.com/index.php?pr=Star_Press_Accessories.

Star Reloaders / Re: MA Systems Instructions?
« on: June 18, 2013, 11:19:43 am »
Bruce,   I have instructions on the M-A systems, I also have the indexer
and I will not be using it on my machines due to the way I choose to mount
my Stars on a Heavy metal base that would make the indexer hard to use.
If anyone is interested in the instructions or the M-A Indexer send me an
E-Mail. It is listed under my name on the members site.

Stars Want to Sell/Want to Buy / Re: adjustable powder slide
« on: June 06, 2013, 05:36:20 pm »

Big Earl,  When you go into E-Bay type in "Star Reloading" and it will bring
up everything  (or parts) that is listed on E-Bay for Star parts and equipment, then you can find the Star Reloading New Adjustable OO charge bar and
a picture of it.
I like them because their is an adjustable screw shaft that can be turned
for more or the other way for less powder to go into an empty shell in your
Star Shellplate, The screw shaft opens or closes the opening where the
powder drops through.
When you try to post your E-Mail on this site you need to set it up like
this: buckhamman   at   comcast   dot   net, It will not let you put [no e-mail]@ and
the . between name and comcast and a . between comcast and net.

Thanks Bruce and also thanks to A R "Dick" Harris who shared these
wonderful Star Equipment pictures and men that I had read about
but had no idea what they looked like. These type of shared pictures
mean a lot to me and other Star Equipment users. Keep up the great
work, you and Dick are appreciated for sharing.

Star Reloaders / Re: Star sizer and loader at work in 1936
« on: May 06, 2013, 03:58:18 pm »
Thanks Bruce, I appreciate the great information you provided, I now know
the time frame for the first Star that was manufactured, The information on
the base was also helpful to understand how the Star base was changed
from the early cast iron base to the aluminum base. Wow, these great
machines have a nice history. Makes me proud to still be able to use one
 of these fantastic machines. Buckhunter

Thanks for sharing this video, I enjoyed everything that it covered
and especially being able to see the Star equipment being used that
long ago, It would be interesting to find out just how old that Star
Reloader was at that time, anyone know when the first Star Equipment
 was manufactured?  Buckhunter

I also would recommend Dave Wilson to make your replacement dies,
He had made a full set of .44Spl., dies, a full set of 9mm dies and a couple
crimp dies for me. Outstanding workmanship and all these dies are beautiful,
We are grateful to have such a talent that can provide outstanding dies for
 our Star Reloaders. buckhunter

Star Reloaders / Re: Packing for shipment ?
« on: January 13, 2013, 07:25:15 pm »
If you bolt the base to a piece of plywood, Cut the plywood to
the inside size of your box, Cut another identical piece of
plywood and after removing the spring anchor hook, Use a
small screw the same size of the spring hook threads, Cut a
small hole in the middle of the plywood and secure the
plywood using the small screw through the hole where the
spring hook would normally screw into the top of the Star
machine. Pack the handle, powder tube, spring hook anchor
and primer tube in bubble wrap and any other loose parts
in bubble wrap. I wrap the Star real good with bubble wrap
and with the plywood keeping the Star stationary inside the
box you have less problems having the Star reloader moving
around and causing the damage if it were not secured inside
the box. I boxed three like this and was told they arrived
 without any damage during shipment.
