this could b in the wrong spot,   if it is,  point me in the right direction.    I need the diam of the main spring arm above the nut,  I think its 5/16ths,  would someone check to let me know,  thanks   jerry

Hello,
If you're talking about Part #57 spring anchor or goose neck, supporting the #56 tool head spring,
it is 5/16" coarse thread.
