« on: October 07, 2007, 07:58:43 pm »
i have some parts for a press that was made here in town. on the frame it is marked [boss] [san diego] [pat. no.] at the top of the frame there are from left to right three holes 1st.hole 7/8"x14tpi 2nd.hole aprox.5/8" and 3rd. hole  7/8"x14tpi  [i beleve 1st. hole sizer die 2nd. hole powder measure 3rd. hole seating die] now the ram housing assy. is pivoted so the ram can and will aline to the die. all i have is the frame and the ram housing .the parts that fit and work in the ram are the same parts that work in the old cast iron pacific [C] press.

sorry no photo. one of guys i showed it to was telling me he thinks he saw a photo of one in an  old  Hensley ad. he also was saying something about in the same ad there was a powder  measure that they made.

so if someone can shead some light on this one? thanks

hey sorry about that .but thats just the way it gos. i guess i should have been in school learing something. but no i was at star digging in there scrap bin.and what did that get me ? a foot locker full of parts,a ream of blue prints, loads of bar stock and lots of marketing info going back to the 50's. but the best thing as far as info go's is the leter from remington about there primer's from the 30's see the old rem. primers were not flat on the bottom but round. yep and i got some of the star parts for that to. so now i will get off of my box.to all of you spelling [EDIT] out there heres something to think about theres a lot of us out here that may not be as book smart as you. but one thing i can tell you for shure if i need a part for my star i will do one of two things put i new one in it from all the stuff i got from the folks at star or i will make one. and when i am done with it all i will put it on ebay!
