Do you want the 3/8" post type, or the standard 11/16-24 Star thread type. As mentioned above, Dave Wilson is the guy for the former. I have the post type.

Maybe my first post was premature,I just picked up this press and it has 2 heads 38 cal and 45 acp, I'm not familiar with the 45 , I see an additional threaded hole (not 3/8") in the head after the seating die so I was assuming that a taper crimp die is used in this spot? I tryed to run the press and it seems that the seater is also a crimp die? does that sound correct for Star, I know I can test the cartridge for fit in a barrel but is there any other way to know about the crimp? are the dies marked ?
Thanks for your help

Greetings,
The Star Seating die has a Roll Crimp profile machined into the die body.
Roll Crimping works fine if all your brass is the same length.
Most shooters have opted for Taper Crimping at the last station as a separate operation.

Greetings,
Here is an article from an old American Rifleman.

Great Article Dave, Nice Find. Do you know the date of the AR issue?
The taper crimp dies that have been on eBay are made by Mardan Inc. in Indian Orchard Mass. A Google of Heatbath Corp shows that it is also located in Indian Orchard Mass. Obviously there's a connection.

Greetings,
The Article was copied from the December 1992 American Rifleman.
I tried to find the Patent for the Taper Crimp Die but was unsuccessful.
Cheers,
Dave
