As per Star instructions.Keep all parts subject to wear, including cam that operates angle lever, slightly lubricated [except the powder carrier]. Lubricate primer slide with small amount of dry graphite only.

I would pull the tool head and shell plate then clean the floor base and shell plate. Reassemble and turn the shell plate thrust nut down fully and back it off 1/8 turn and tighten the clamping screw. Lightly lube the area between the column shaft and shell plate. Also check that the steel ball is free to rotate.

No one has been able to contact Star for quite some time. I would say that Star is out of business.

I have all of the MA Systems attachments made for the Star. The case collator, shell plate indexer and case ejector. They work flawlessly. The problem is they no longer make these attachments.

MA Systems markets all the attachments to make the Star fully progressive. I have been using them for years and have loaded ten's of thousands of rounds without a problem.

Star Reloaders / primer system

Hi Les

I just found this forum and I!m happy to see that I am not the only one enjoying loading on the star loader. You should not be shaving brass at the primer loading station. There is an adjustment that can be made at that station in your instruction manual. I have a universal loader with m/a system case collater,roto-ease,eject-ease and roller ease handle. Being an IPSC shooter i have loaded 100,000+ rounds on my machine practically trouble free. It produces factory like ammo. I hope you can solve your problem.
