Bruce, do you have the W-W unit or just photos? How does it index? Controls look simple.

I still have two boxes of Speer WCs & SWCs swagged with the  knurled coating. Other than being a softer alloy I don't know what these projectiles do special?

I have four Stars, a Camdex, an 1100, and an old Lyman T mag turret.

I set each of the Star up in common pistol rounds, 9mm, 45 ACP, 38 SPL, & 30 Carbine. I also have SMGs in each of those rounds, except 38 SPL. I will load ammo for the SMGs on them as well as revolver rounds to feed my Colts.

The Camdex is specifically to feed my Thompson SMG, the 1100 is a new addition, set up for 9x19mm likely to feed the Uzi and pistols, & the Lyman is for bottleneck rounds/rifle.

The Stars are machines from a more elegant time. I like them for doing a handful of shells to a few hundred at a sitting. You have more control with the Stars due to the manually advanced shell plate too.

99.9% of my shooting is making noise in the backyard. The remaining is hunting or protecting our live stock from predators.

I am sure it will size down, how much lube you will get I don't know. I would use a soft lube and a little heat. The old NRA 50/50 should work.

Worse case you can pan lube unless you are doing a ton.

If you already have in, why don't you just duplicate it? Does not look like anything special, buy the air cylinder, machine the other pieces, buy the fasteners.

If you are feeding subguns in any quantity you need a Camdex.  :)

That said, I feed my subguns with ammo from a Stars and I have a Camdex.

The only subgun I have that runs as fast as the old MACs is the 180. Thankfully that is in 22 RF so I don't have to load it.  ;D

Man I thought I was doing well with four Stars and a Camdex.

The makers of Kroil make a phenomenal preservative that sprays on. Drys almost like plastic dip but can be removed with a degreaser.

I would just press bushings in or drill and tap for bushings before I welded on Aluminum.

You would have to TIG it and remachine. The work likely exceeds the cost of the part.

What someone is willing to pay.  ;D

Condition will affect price. You might look on Ebay or Gunbroker to see what they are selling for.

You would likely be better off finding someone to laser you a blank and then finish machine. You could wire them and machine too.

You will likely need to machine, surface grind, heat treat, and post heat treat grind. A2 will be the cheapest of the tool steels to use. I would likely use 01, good fit for the application.

I am on the hunt for tooling as well. At this point I am thinking of just tooling up and making it. Have full scale machine shop and lasers.
