PURCHASED STAR
« on: February 13, 2011, 05:49:31 pm »
On the 25th of last month, I purchased a Universal, lots of extra dies, & Low & Behold I ended up with 4 extra heads...One was a Phelps w/.32 Dies (Black) & Shellplate.... :D ;D
(If anybody interested in the Dies & Shellplate I'll let them go for $200.00).
SOLD
Carrying on > after recent scrutiny, one was drilled out for 7/8" Dies....So much for origional....... ::) :o
With my RCBS, Dillon & Lee dies I'll try and set it up for .44 Magnum, say with RCBS Dies....
I'll probably have to get fc60 to make me a #16 - Shell Expander Plug....What else ??? ???
Any comments PLEASE.. :) 8)

You may need to have the end of the 44 Magnum sizing die turned down so that it will fit the recess in the shell plate.

Hello!  I'm new here.  I recently purchased a 38 Universal from another memeber (a great guy). -- Anyway, I have experience with Lee dies, and I know thier carbide sizer reaches down lower than the other name brand dies.  I shoot 9mm and 40 S&W, both of which get that "bulge" from being fired from unsupported chambers (Ie. Glocks, etc).  When the die is set just a hair off of the shell plate, it should size your brass down to the webbing. -- And, it would be a fairly cheap venture...amybe 20 dollars.  Would be worth a try!
