Yellow Star Decal
« on: August 15, 2011, 01:44:55 pm »
Anyone ever see a Star decal like this one?   The original owner, a Bullseye 2650 shooter said he bought it new from Star in 1966 or 1967.
It's the only one like it that I have come accross.

Greetings,

I have one on the spare tool head purchased from Star in the 1980's.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi:
I have three tool heads purchased in the late sixties that all have a decal that looks like that one.  They all came from Gil Hebard.
What does the other decal look like?  Gil was able to supply tools for me and the police department with no wait.  Good service.

Every Star that has passed through my hands, Every tool head that has passed through my hands, and almost every Star I have seen on eBay, including Lubesizers has had the "common" decal pictured below.   I have seen maybe three very late model Stars with the Late Model aluminized sticker.   I think it was used towards the very end of production.   As I said above, I had not seen the yellow decal until now.

My Bad.  When I had the two pictures for comparison, what I have is the common decal.

Just saw this on eBay, another Yellow Star decal.  Looks like a pretty late model Lubesizer.

Very rare decal.

I certainly had several tools with that.  Can not remember if they all had them but certainly several did.
