Help identifying

This came in a pile of Star Machine Works progressive press parts.  Does anyone know what this was for?  Thank you in advance for your constructive input.

Greetings,

Unable to distinguish the size of the tool.

I have similar ones, about 4" long, that have two drive teeth on the end opposite the handle.

The tool is used to unscrew the primer bushing when changing sizes or cleaning.

Cheers,

Dave

I am not sure want that is. It doesn’t have the drive teeth or dawgs to unscrew the bushings. Hard to tell what it is for. Dave does the tool you were talking about have the teeth or dawgs thread on the tool?

Greetings,

The standard tool is a piece of round stock with a hole drilled in the center to clear the primer punch. Then, two drive dogs were machined to engage the slots in the primer bushing.

You never did say what diameter your mystery tool is.

Cheers,

Dave
