ok,  i talked to Bill Cunningham,  when we get things straightned out i'll order a concave seating die,  thats what i've been using for years.   as for getting a seating die to seat using only the shoulder of the bullet, that would work but,  seating dies are hardened and would require lots of work, machine work with carbide cutters or grinding,  i gave up casting,  i ended up with 39 on the lead poison scale, way to high.  so now i buy my bullets already cast, any way,  breaking my seating die sure slowed things up

Star Reloaders / reloading bullets

ran into a problem today,   i load for 45 auto,  use 185 gr star hollow point,  been loading for a week or so, anyway,   i noticed that the top of the bullet is deformed from the seating die,  don't know if i broke something or what,  took the die apart and looked at the depth seater,  1st the die is to hold the shape, the inner part seats the bullet to depth u want,  this could b the problem,  all it is  is flat,  should it have a form that fits around the head of the bullet?,   if thats my problem where can i get 1?,  thanks
