Hi Dave

Had half the helper staff at Home Depot looking for washers to no avail, I'm still looking.
They appear to be stamped from a belting material of black rubber with a single layer of cloth in the middle.

Searched today for Hycar washers that I had stored away, Yep, found the washers , but the part numbers and info about them was on a piece of paper that was totally Yellowed out and un-readable.
Next stop, Home Depot. I just might re-find the washers there.

Years ago I discovered a source for the Exact replacement of the Hycar Washer in the "Home Depot Plumbing Department". I bought in excess of My needs, bagged them, tagged them and stored them away. Tomorrow I'll see if I can dig them out and get part numbers to pass on.

I have home made quite a few powder bars over the years and of many different materials. I've found that a very high density piece of hardwood works well, lasts forever and can be easily fitted to"just right". They make a good carrier for powder bushings. And they are Cheap !!

Loading Data & Reloading Procedures / Re: Powder Check
« on: February 06, 2023, 10:39:48 pm »
I have been reloading with the Star Machines since 1956, I've had one occurrence with powder drop consistency, don't remember the name of the powder, but it was "bridging" in the powder magazine.  I discovered this after loading a batch of 44 mag that didn't shoot very well. Not sure but possible cause was the powder had been exposed to moisture. lesson learned=Don't leave powder in the hopper over night !

Survey Says... / M.A. Systems Bullet feeder
« on: July 30, 2022, 07:47:48 pm »
Just out of curiosity,, How many Folks out there have M.A. Systems Bullet feeders and are You using them ?
I have 2 of them running on a couple of Universals. They run very well with little or no problems.
They were a little bit difficult to set up, But once properly set up and locked in, they work very well.
Your thoughts ?

P.S. I need two more bullet feeders.

Loading Data & Reloading Procedures / .45 Brass small primer thorn.
« on: July 06, 2022, 06:53:46 pm »
Trying to load large pistol primers into the occasional small primer hole ".45 ACP" on Star Re-loaders is a PITA.
Requiring dangerous disassembly to remove the crushed primer. I sort the cases to remove small primer cases but overlook about 1-2 per thousand cases sorted. Whoever thought to bring back small primers for .45 ACP needs His A.K. , Anyone else have this problem ?

My Rant For Today !
