Title: NEWBIE - without a clue needing photos
Post by: DrizSki on July 26, 2009, 02:02:57 pm
Hi,

I just inheirited a Star Reloader and a Lub/Resizer.

I am looking at the thing and it is completely disassembled.

I think I'm doing well but I can't find the primer tube. Does anyone have a photo of the thing that I can blow up and examine in detail or is there a YouTube out there showing it in operation?

Thanks ..

Driz

1. There are some good pictures on this site --check out the "Star Reloaders" subject, then the thread under it --"Reloading Bench Ideas".

2.  There are also pictures and parts diagrams on other areas on this site.

3.  Often there are ok pictures on Ebay where some Stars are auctioned.

If you have any reloading experience at all---you should be able to figure everything out on operation.

IF the thing is entirely dismantled---You might see if you are close location-wise to any of the experienced members on this site for direct help. It appears there are people in CT, NJ, CA, TX, PA and many more.  Also, if there are any "Bullseye" Pistol Clubs or even Practical or IPSC clubs in your area---there is bound to be someone there who is familiar.

Awesome -- this was helpful.

I cannot locate the powder tube, the .45 shell holder plate, and the primer tube and pick ups.

Any suggestions on where to get them?

For some of them you can contact Rich Daniels in CT.
He manufactures shell plates and has powder tubes.
He is on this site as  Barrel Tester.

For the primer tubes and pickup tubes, those available from Dillon can be made to work.

By Hilary?

Managed to move her out so everyone can share her work in her new position.
(Actually, I think we may have been better off if she had won the primary. I think she can be influenced!)
But our loss is not a gain. We still have Schumer

Be happy to trade you Schumer for Feinstein an give you Pelosi for a future trade.
