Star-Hensley and Gibbs
« on: December 02, 2012, 05:01:27 pm »
I noticed on Ebay this morning there is a 10 cavity wadcutter .38 mold up for bid that is stamped "Star Machine works, San Diago ca", The mold looks exactly like
one of the Hensley and Gibbs molds that I've been using for Years. I knew Star and Hensley and Gibbs were close, But did Star sell H&G molds stamped with
the Star markings ?

Good Shooting

I have Star price lists which include prices for Hensley and Gibbs molds, but until I saw that listing on eBay I did not know that Star also marketed them under their own name.   I assume Hensley and Gibbs made the mold on eBay.

Unfortunately I lost Wayne Gibbs' e-mail address when my machine crashed a while back.  But I talked to him about this once years ago.  My memory of that is foggy but I think that Star may have actually made moulds once.  I know that they made a REALLY big bench mounted mould once and I think that maybe they made moulds too.
