Greetings,

If I had some "go by" parts, I could probably machine some of the missing parts to get this classic machine back to original.

I would surely like to see some photos of a straightline Star press. I have only heard of, not seen, them.

Cheers,

Dave

I had one in 32 S&W Long.

From what I remember, Ellord said that only between three and 20 were ever made.  Yours is the 3rd I've heard of.  Where and when did you get it?  Pictures would be nice?  I'm almost positive that none were made in rifle calibers.

I have recently Taken some Photo's and I will post them as soon as I can. The press was purchased from a benefit sale [no e-mail]@ an armory with other old Ideal armory equipment and Civil war items several years ago. All of the other Items were sold by me but I kept the press and used it to load 30/06 . It has wilson dies and the powder measure works fine. But missing the primer feed.  It must have been used by the armory early on because all the 30/06 cases that were in the box had 1917 to 1920,s head stamps .So far the only thing I done to it was to degrease the machine to free it up  for use

As far as I know my star straightline is still at Ron Peterson Guns in Albuquerque.  If you want to check into that you need to talk to Ron, not a store clerk.  And it might help if you tell him that Ken Walters suggested you call.  It might also be a good idea to mail him a picture of what you are looking for because I'd bet he would not remember which press you were talking about as I sold him dozens of old machines.

Let us know how you make out at Ron Pedersons Guns.
As Ken Walters said, you will have to speak to the owner himself.
Last time I was there, he was not. I asked the head sales guy (at least the guy who said he was in charge) and he could not give me any info.
