From my recollection in 1911 Pistols the shoulder of the Bullet should be Flush with the mouth of the case...45's seat in the chamber via the mouth of the case.......
Is this not so...???

My friend (mentor) called me today...He said he found another item I might want..... ???
IT WAS A PHELPS BASE, no head or Crank Shaft Bearing [edit]'y ;) :) :D ::)
Which I already have..
Now I understand why he had 2 extra Phelps heads for it ::) :o
I also 'ASSUME' that the dies in the heads are/were Phelps dies.. :o

NOW I KNOW SAID GI JOE !! 8)

Oh, by the way, on eBay there is a Phelps up for Bids.....
I noticed that it had a Strange Looking Gadget attached......From what I determed, it is a Indexer....
That was also in the box with the Phelps Steel Floor Base w/Column Shaft I got from my friend....???????

GOOD question..????
I've hidden it from myself....Have looked for it for the last 2 days..???????
I'll find it when I'm not looking for it.......
I've looked in the Socket which is a 1-1/2" socket..It would have fallen out...Don't have a 1-7/16" socket, so I use 1-1/2"
Right in the TPI, I checked....

Understand, I tried my Steel Hulmes, ended up using the aluminum
Hulme I have..& milled out the M3 Top Plate to clear the .45 Colt case, it fed fine....I guess with the larger shell tubes I'll also have to mill out the top of the Top Plate.....
Thanks

Yes Dave, I've tried this and modified a M3 Top Plate...
The Hulme is made out of Aluminum and is Stamped with the Hulme
Logo....
Thanks though for the Heads-Up
