Need information on Star lubricator/sizer

Can someone advise of the purpose of the 1/8" hole in the body of the lubricator/sizer.  Thanks

Sorry tedog, dbltapster has a GOOD solution, also, rbwillnj has a reasonable idea,
too much lub can cause that.... :-[

Doc, what would cause lubricant to come out of the hole instead of air?

Replace the HiCar washer on the piston assembly.

Too much bullet lube?

Some people have put a piece of rubber and a hose clamp over that hole so they can charge with more lube.

Doc, what would cause lubricant to come out of the hole instead of air?
