Title: .38 caliber 158 grain SWC
Post by: NYKenn on August 05, 2010, 10:55:46 pm
Have only loaded 148 grain wadcutter w/2.7 Bullseye powder on the Star to date, for NRA 2700 matches.
Am going to begin loading 158 SWC. also with Bullseye powder. Have a few differant loads I made on the Dillon, but not yet had time to shoot and chronograph, and check for sight change.

Plan on using for NRA Distinguished Revolver in a 6 inch barrel.
Wondering what others on this forum have loaded on the Star and have been happy with both in terms of performance and accuracy.

My star came with a 2.7 GR B.E. powder slide. I shoot 158 gr swc with good pattern results. I fire a s&w 5". I also fire a single action Army .357 using the same loads with similar results. 2.7gr seems to be the load for the 158 swc.

Good luck
