Those pictures came curtesy of Dick Harris.   Dick is the guy on the left next to Ira Wilkerson.

Behind Elard Mock is a cabinet full of drawers.  That is the original parts cabinet, and i have that in my shop.

I would love to see some more pictures of Star if anyone has some.

Interesting pictures.
Anyone have any idea of year they were taken?

I am only guessing but, glossy grain B&W and clothing suggest late 60s, early 70s?

Agree with Bruce, would be nice to see more.

Final Day packing up Star - Pioneer, CA heading to Star - Bloomsbury, NJ in October 2014. The moving van had already left.   Bill Cunningham on the right, me on the left.  Happy to say I have lost quite a few pounds since then.

Bill Cunningham lived in the very small city of Pioneer Ca. About 50-60 miles from My hometown of Manteca, Ca.
I've driven through Pioneer many times and regrettably didn't have time to stop and chat. Talked to Him by phone
mostly, or by massaging over the years.

Bruce, I'm guessing that truck load wasn't everything you bought from him?  ??? Was there also a moving van involved in the process?  8)

Bill and I spent several days packing up all of the parts at his home and shuttling them over to his daughters home a few miles away.  The picture is of the last load leaving Bill's house.  Most of the Star tooling, fixtures and jigs as well as more parts were stored at his daughters home.   A pack and ship company came to his daughters home to pick up everything and took it back to their warehouse where it was palletized and crated.  Something over 10,000 lbs. was shipped across the country.
